Who we are

  • Lewis Sherlock

    CO-ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

    Lewis Sherlock is a Physical Theatre maker based in Glasgow, he has been working professionally in Scotland through the medium of physical theatre and street performance since studying physical theatre in The Arches in 2012. He performs at cabarets and works in inclusive one to one environments both on the street and in theatres. His experimental practice and solo works relate to the comedic aspects of clowning and bouffon as well as butoh dance, complicity, grounding, and choral disciplines. Lewis’s street performance has taken him to Sri Lanka, Prague, Brno and Ireland to date and he is a regular performer with outdoor performance companies Oceanallover and Dudendance. Lewis is also a facilitator in physical performance and has taught at East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure and as a guest on the Diploma in Physical Theatre Practice and Acting Out Drama School.

  • Andrew Simpson

    CO-ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

    Andrew is a theatre maker, clown and director based in Glasgow, Scotland. After studying Drama and Physical Theatre in Scotland before training further in clown, physical and outdoor theatre practices in Poland, Denmark, Italy and the UK.

    Andrew works on the assumption that through art we can articulate our experiences, reflect on them and imagine other possibilities. He strongly believes that this process should be accessible, relatable but can also embrace the non-realistic, highly stylised or abstract.

    In 2022 he was awarded a Federation of Scottish Theatre Assistant Director Bursary. He currently facilitates a physical theatre class with health & wellbeing charity Nemo Arts and sits on the board of Articulation.

  • Christiana Bissett

    PRODUCER

    Christiana Bissett is a creative producer with a focus on arts in non-traditional settings. Since undertaking an MA in Ecology and Contemporary Performance at Finland’s Theatre Academy, she has nurtured an interest in performance which engages directly with its environment, both natural and built. Since returning to Glasgow, Christiana has delivered a range of outdoor arts events for SURGE, Mischief la-bas, Dandelion and Rig Arts. She is co-chair of the Moving Out Symposium on art in public space and believes in accessible, sustainable, feminist and anti-racist practice.
